The Sherriff took his troops and went to San Diego to win what another magical Peyton Manning comeback on Monday night football. Despite a 24-0 lead at halftime the Bronco’s never heard the fat lady sing and behind the arm of Peyton Manning and well Philip Rivers who had 6 turnovers on the night the Bronco’s were able to head into their bye 3-3 and in a tie for first place in the division. Manning was surgical in the 2nd half, highlighted by finding his old pal Brandon Stokley in the end zone for a beautiful throw and catch play.
Last night was a small reminder of Manning’s genius and proved he’s still got. But just in case you forgot someone of them. Here are a couple of Manning’s greatest games.

2003 Monday Night Football – Colts vs Bucs: The Colts led by Manning went up one of the greatest 4th quarter runs in football and MNF history coming back to win a 38-35 ball game. Manning finished with 386 yards and 2 tds against what was at the time one of the league’s best defenses.
2003 AFC divisional playoffs vs. The Broncos: This great Peyton win came against his current team as this was his first major playoff performance, throwing 22 for 26 for 377 yards and 5 TD’s. As far as stats go, it doesn’t get much better than that.
2004 Colts vs. Detroit Lions – Thanks Giving day: While the game itself wasn’t that memorable it was one of Peyton’s best statistical games of all time going a remarkable 23 of 28 and throwing for 6 TD’s.
2006 Super Bowl: While it wasn’t one of his greatest statistical games anytime you win a super bowl it’s a pretty special day.
2007 Colts take out the Patriots in the AFC Championship game: Another game which might not have been Peyton’s best on the stat sheet but in another 300 + yard performance Manning led his team down the field to take out Tom Terrific and get a spot to play in the Super Bowl.
