Jaguars owner buys Fulham soccer club

Jaguars owner Shahid Khan is now the owner of an English futbol team, and it's not a relocated Jacksonville team.

Khan confirmed Friday that he has purchased Fulham FC, an English Premier League club. The deal will be announced tomorrow according to Pro Football Focus.

"I do not view myself so much as the owner of Fulham, but a custodian of the club on behalf of its fans," Khan said in a statement, via Ryan O’Halloran. "Fulham is the perfect club at the perfect time for me."

With the move, Khan will not only own a soccer club, but he'll own a marketing platform for the Jaguars as well. In addition, based on Khan's comments, he'll remain more involved in running the Jaguars than he will be in running Fulham FC.
