Jacksonville Jaguars
Wow, the Jaguars’ offense is terrible. Regardless of whether Chad Henne or Blaine Gabbert is taking the snaps, there’s no offensive production. The good news for the Jaguars is, help is on the way. After week four, Justin Blackmon will be getting back on the field following his four-game suspension.
The Jaguars, right now, are the hands down favorite to win (lose?) the top draft position in 2014, but the season is still young, and Gus Bradley is an energetic young coach. There’s still a chance the Jaguars could pull out a couple of close games, especially considering some of the teams on the Jags’ schedule.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are bad – really bad. In two games, the Browns have mustered just 16 points. Brandon Weeden, the team’s aging second year quarterback, hasn’t been the spark Cleveland had been hoping for when they drafted him, and Cleveland’s defense simply can’t pin opposing offenses down well enough to make up for no offensive production.
At this stage, we’re eyeing the Browns’ week 13 matchup against the Jaguars. That late-season game may determine who will be drafting first overall in 2014. It’s also worth noting that both the Browns and the Jaguars may be in the quarterback market next offseason.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers have lost two painfully close games, dropping them to 0-2, but the fact of the matter is the Bucs seem to be on the right track. Results, on the other hand, simply haven’t gone their way. Still, there are a handful of 0-2 teams, but the Bucs appear to be one of the worst, aside from the two mentioned above. Do I think the Buccaneers are the worst team in the league? No, but at 0-2, they’re not exactly impressing anyone yet.
