At 8 PM ET on Tuesday night the 2015 NFL regular season schedule was released, much to the delight of fans, teams, TV networks, and online travel companies. Surely many fans examined the 17-week gauntlet and went through variations of how the season will shake out for their team. It’s early, but the current NFL fan is investing in their team 24/7, and already anticipating the biggest game on their favorite team’s schedule.

Depending on your rooting interests, last season’s NFC Championship game was either one of the most thrilling football games of the year or the most heart-wrenching. With the Green Bay Packers firmly in control, a late fourth quarter comeback with some special teams magic by the Seattle Seahawks forced overtime, and the Seahawks eventually prevailed en route to a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance. The Packers will have a chance early in the season for some redemption.

Week 6 will offer a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game where the Patriots steamrolled Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots reached the summit once again last season, but NFL fans know New England is gearing up to be one of the NFL’s elite teams once again.

Talk about bad blood. The Buffalo Bills have taken on the persona of head coach Rex Ryan, who had the same position with the New York Jets from 2009 through last season. Ryan is a master motivator, and he won’t have to pull out too many tricks to convince his team how bad he will want this game. Both teams have replenished rosters and philosophies that NFL fans will get accustomed to during the season. This may be the AFC East’s next big rivalry for years to come.

This may possibly the last chapter in one of the greatest quarterback rivalries in NFL history. The two future Hall Of Famers have played 16 times and will square off again in Denver in Week 12. The Broncos have a lot to prove this season, as last season’s dud in the playoffs against the Colts left a bad taste in the mouths of the fan base.

Whether people think Dez Bryant caught the ball or not, the Cowboys will have a chance to avenge last year’s playoff loss to the Packers. Last season’s NFC Divisional Round game was one of the more entertaining games of the NFL season and fans should expect another high-scoring, tightly contested ball game. Aside from the fact that this game is an epic rematch from last season, being played that late in the season will probably mean the game will have a large impact on the NFC playoff picture.
