Meet The Team

Josh Sippie is the Editor of Stateside of Soccer as well as the Editor of Pain in the Arsenal. His work has been published by FourFourTwo, CBS and more. While he was born and raised on baseball, he soon realized that soccer is an alright thing. In fact, he’d say that it’s better than alright. It’s pretty rad. Now, there is nothing else that has the appeal of growing the greatest sport in the world in the greatest nation in the world. Contact: sippiejosh@gmail.com.

Nate Pressler was born and raised a buckeye in Columbus Ohio , but somewhere along the way he became the ‘weird’ one as he was seduced by the beautiful game rather than basketball or baseball. A self proclaimed gooner as well as a member of the crew supporters union Nate brings his Crew SC analysis from the front lines of the Nordecke on a weekly basis. Contact: nwpressler@gmail.com

From an early age, soccer tied Estevan Tinoco and his family together. From watching games, to seeing his dad conduct practices, to playing himself, his passion for soccer runs thick. His first love was soccer. Ranging from the salsa inspired soccer of Brazil, to the technical style of Argentina. He fell in love with the philosophy of Arsenal in the mid to late 2000’s. His abundant love for the sport has grown into the love for his country’s soccer, the MLS and the Portland Timbers. His current work includes volunteer work for Pain in the Arsenal and OneNilToArsenal. He continues to branch out his emotional style of writing here on StateSideOfSoccer. Griffin Wesche has represented the hopes and dreams of soccer in the Midwest all of his life. Supporting the USMNT has been the name of the game while he patiently waits for St. Louis to land their own MLS expansion effort. Good thing that’s just around the corner. Thanks Stan Kroenke! Griffin covers the USMNT and is an avid supporter of Borussia Dortmund. Contact: grwesche@gmail.com

Growing up in New York City, Jabari LeGendre has spent his life surrounded by sports. As an avid Yankee and Giants fan from a very young age, he also came to love the beautiful game through his Trinidadian roots. Days spent watching the “Soca Warriors”, Trinidad’s national team, with his family left an indelible mark upon him. With heroes like Thierry Henry, Roberto Carlos and Shaka Hislop, Jabari learned to love the game from every position. Now an NYCFC founding member, Jabari adds his analysis on the MLS’s most exciting new expansion team
